Top Dermatology is a directory that helps patients find dermatologists and dermatology providers. So that every area has a useful starting point, some listings are created from publicly available data sources before the provider has claimed them. This page explains where that information comes from, its limits, and how providers can take control of their listing.
Where our information comes from
- The National Provider Identifier (NPI) Registry / NPPES — a public database operated by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) listing a provider's name, credential (such as MD or DO), specialty, and practice address.
- Other public CMS datasets — additional U.S.-government data, such as medical school and graduation year, where available.
- The provider — once a provider claims their listing, the information they add or correct takes precedence over the public-records data.
We do not copy reviews, ratings, photos, or written biographies from other websites.
Accuracy — please read
Listings that have not been claimed are compiled automatically from the sources above and are provided “as is.” They have not been reviewed, verified, or confirmed by the named provider. Details may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate, and the presence of a listing is not a statement that a provider is licensed, board-certified, in good standing, or accepting patients. Inclusion does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from the provider. We do not independently verify credentials — please confirm any credential or disciplinary detail with primary sources such as the Medical Board of California and the relevant certifying board before relying on it.
Unclaimed listings
An unclaimed listing is one the provider has not yet taken control of. We label these clearly. Until a listing is claimed, contact requests are directed to the claim process rather than sent to the provider.
Are you this provider?
You can claim your listing for free to update your information, add your photo and bio, and manage how you appear — or you can ask us to remove it. Use the “Claim this listing” button on your profile, or contact us and we'll help. Removal requests are honored at no cost.
